Marie has been a real estate professional for 10 years. After growing up in Sweden, Marie moved to Truckee as an aupair when she was 18. Marie worked in Truckee in real estate for the next 13 years. In 1999 Marie moved with her fiancé to Santa Rosa where they started a new life as vineyard owners, horse owners and she started her local career in real estate.

Having gone through the entire process of purchasing a vineyard that was reputed to be ready to go only to find out that it would be cheaper in the long run to rip it out and start over – Marie has seen the experts that weren’t and the real estate agents that professed knowledge and had none. Because of that painful process, Marie has the sensitivity and has developed the knowledge to make sure you vineyard purchasing experience is as smooth as possible.

Vineyard Owner
Since moving to Santa Rosa, Marie has attended the viticulture program at Santa Rosa Junior College, the fourth ranked program in the state, and has lived the life of a vineyard owner while she and her new husband developed 23 acres of vineyard on their parcel in Bennett Valley.

Dog Owner
Marie’s first passion in life (besides selling land) was (and still is) dogs. Marie was actively involved in using dogs in Search and Recscue for 12 years.She and Peter have a Golden Retriever and an Australian Shepherd that have been certified for search and rescue work.

Horse Owner
Marie’s latest passion is horses – specifically a Peruvian Pasos named  Javier. In addition to developing the 23 acres of vineyard on the property, Marie and her husband also converted an old barn to stable space for Javier along with a paddock and pasture. Marie knows what a horse property is and can help you find you dream horse property.

Duck Owner
The latest additions to Maries stable of animals are two western running ducks named Augustus and Woodrow after the lead characters in Lonesome Dove. They share the paddock with Javier and seemed to settling in quite nicely.
